And it’s why so many developers are now putting all their efforts into creating mobile content. 2022 is again another big year for mobile gaming, with some excellent titles on the various app stores.

Mafia City is one of the most talked about mobile games on the market right now, and it’s probably due to the relentless marketing campaign that was used to generate interest in the title.
However, it’s fair to say that when players have downloaded the game, they’ve then hung around and played, and they continue to play to this day. What you get in Mafia City is a storyline that appeals and the strategy element. It’s the perfect combination.
Pokemon Go
Now, you may be wondering why Pokemon Go, a game that hit the scene in 2016, is appearing on our list. Well, the reason for its inclusion is that it not only remains a highly popular title, but it also utilises augmented reality.
Pokemon is iconic, and Pokemon Go takes you as close to being a Pokemon trainer as is possible. And because online mobile games download as fast as lightning these days, you can be out exploring a Pokemon-infested universe in the blink of an eye.
Call of Duty: Mobile
It’s fair to say when it comes to shooters or battle royale titles, you are well covered if you game on smartphone. And there were plenty of options for us to choose from.
But we go with Call of Duty: Mobile for a couple of reasons, the first being that the Call of Duty name still means something in the gaming universe.
Call of Duty: Mobile also brings everything together nicely, giving players what they expect of a shooter, with great weapons, fast-paced gameplay and the frantic battle royale mode.
Alto’s Odyssey
The mark of a great game is one that has that come back and play appeal. You want to play titles that you can’t put down because then you know they’re good. And this is precisely what’s on offer in Alto’s Odyssey, primarily because there are incentives to keep coming back, with rewards up for grabs.
For us, however, the standout feature in Alto’s Odyssey is the artwork. It’s mind-blowingly good. We’ll even go as far as saying you won’t find a more visually impressive mobile game this year than Alto’s Odyssey.
There really are some excellent games available to download and play on mobile. And, if a user happens to have one of the top-spec smartphones out there, the experience they will deliver when playing an AAA title will be off the scale. Internet connection speeds are also fast nowadays, making online gaming more fun and reliable.
